The 2026 Jets season is going to be a weird one.

I can feel it coming, even months away. There is going to be a push and pull among Jets fans about how much they want this team to win.

That is not uncommon in the Jets universe, where next year’s draft pick always seems to be the light at the end of the tunnel, but usually it takes two or three months into the season before fans turn their attention to the draft.

But this year? It feels like everything is already about 2027 and those three first-round picks. Anyone interested in the Jets is going to spend time following the Texas Longhorns and Oregon Ducks as well as the Colts, Cowboys and Packers.
