The NFL’s official social media accounts did not post anything about Pride Month on June 1.

The league actually has not posted about Pride Month on X since 2023, when it wrote: “An important reminder – football is for everyone. Happy Pride.”

However, nearly three-quarters (23) of the league’s 32 teams posted Monday to celebrate the beginning of Pride Month.

“Pride Month is recognized throughout June, and the NFL will continue to highlight and amplify Pride-related content, community initiatives, and celebrations taking place across the league,” the NFL told The Post in a statement. “Throughout the month, we look forward to opportunities to showcase the work of the NFL, our clubs, players, partners, and community organizations supporting LGBTQ+ communities.”

The NFL does not have a policy that forces all teams to post about Pride Month, and it is usually up to the teams themselves to create content centered on the celebrations.

Last year, 12 teams did not post about Pride Month on their social accounts early in the month.

Other leagues, like the MLB, NHL and NBA, posted on their main or public relations accounts Monday to recognize Pride Month.

Pride Month was officially recognized in 1999 by then-President Bill Clinton and happens every June, bringing recognition to all LGBTQ+ individuals.

While there was no social media post as of Tuesday afternoon, the NFL has a dedicated part of its website for LGBTQ+ recognition that remains up year-round.

NFL teams have placed socially conscious messages on the field during games as part of the league’s stencil program that began in 2024.

Teams can choose from four different messages that read: “End Racism, “Stop Hate,” “Choose Love,” and “Inspire Change.”

The New York Giants were among those who posted Monday, with their X post reading: “Happy Pride Month.”

The Jets, though, did not, and their last Pride Month post was on Instagram in 2024.

They do have a Pride Month merchandise collection.
