The Mets tried to trade Kodai Senga in winter, but apparently not hard enough. Teams didn’t want to take the $28 million through 2027 due to the injury risk, wisely as it turns out. Senga, who’s on the IL with spine inflammation and a 9.00 ERA, had an iffy MRI exam upon signing, as The Post reported back then.

The Mets seemed confident they’d find a Senga taker at one point. Perhaps they should have offered to pay down the $28M.

Usual iron man Francisco Lindor (calf) has no known timetable. The most optimistic man in the room can’t even guess when he’ll be back. (I asked.)

Without Edwin Díaz and Lindor, the music has stopped. “Narco” and “My Girl” were a great soundtrack for Citi.
