Forty-eight March Madness games down, 15 to go.

As a very, very quick refresher, highlights from the long opening weekend included High Point upsetting Wisconsin, No. 1 seed (and reigning champion!) Florida getting knocked out early and VCU stunning North Carolina.

Now that the edge-of-your-seat, anything goes first and second round is officially out of the way — and your bracket is likely busted — the NCAA Tournament resumes Thursday, March 26 with the first batch of Sweet 16 games before another four Friday.

High-stakes showdowns between major players like No. 1 seeds Michigan, Arizona and Duke (along with exciting teams in St. John’s and Nebraska) are scheduled to take place at four neutral-site arenas.

They are:

SAP Center
West Regional
San Jose, Calif.
March 26, 28

Toyota Center
South Regional
Houston, Texas
March 26, 28

Capital One Arena
East Regional
Washington, D.C.
March 27, 29

United Center
Midwest Regional
Chicago, Ill.
March 27, 29

If you’d like to be there, tickets are available for all remaining hardwood contests.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets for any one Sweet 16 doubleheader session was $234 including fees on StubHub (that was for the pair of games in San Jose).

Elite 8/Sweet 16 “all sessions” packages start at $481 including fees (also for games at the SAP Center).

Matchups to keep an eye on from Thursday to Sunday include Cameron Boozer’s Duke taking on Zuby Ejiofor’s St. John’s, Braden Smith’s Purdue battling Dailyn Swain’s No. 11 Texas, Yandel Lexenborg’s Michigan clashing with Labaron Philon Jr.’s Alabama and Pryce Sandfort’s Nebraska going head-to-head against Bennett Stirtz’s No. 9 Iowa.

In the words of the great Dick “Dickie V” Vitale: “It’s awesome, baby!”
