BFC Partners, one of the city’s leading pioneers in affordable housing development, outgrew its tiny Brooklyn digs. So it’s doubling its floor space in a move to 14,000 square feet at RFR’s 17 State St. in Manhattan.

BFC has created and preserved more than 15,000 affordable apartments in all five boroughs and expanded to Buffalo and Syracuse. Its largest current projects are a three-building complex on Surf Avenue in Coney Island and 9 Essex Crossing in Manhattan.

Joe Ferrara, a BFC partner, termed the move “an important milestone for us that represents thr growth of our team and the evolution of our services.”

A Cushman & Wakefield team represented BFC in the new lease.

Lungi, a Sri Lankan/South Indian restaurant with Michelin “bib gourmand” honors, is making the leap from Manhattan to Queens.

The restaurant, which will remain at 1166 First Ave. on the Upper East Side, will add a second outpost at 31-19 Newtown Lane in Astoria. The 15-year lease is for 5,000 square feet, one of the neighborhood’s largest dining venues. The asking rent was $400,000 a year.

The landlord, Phoenix Management, was repped by prolific Meridian Retail Leasing president James Famularo with Jacob Mayer and Marcelo Demoraes. Famularo said Lungi, led by Mervyn Winston and chef/partner Albin Vincent, “brings together an extraordinary group of chefs each contributing their own culinary traditions and techniques.”
