Paul McCartney refuses to “Let It Be.”
After striking out on a nationwide tour last fall, the 83-year-old former Beatle just announced he’s going to play a pair of intimate — by his standards — shows at Los Angeles’ Fonda Theatre that holds approximately 1,200 people.
The L A concerts (his only scheduled shows this year) are set to take place on:
As of now, not much else is known about this back-to-back night stint in La La Land.
However, if these shows are anything like Macca’s 2025 ‘Got Back Tour’ gigs, they should be all-out, no meat left on the bone affairs. Based on our findings at Set List FM, McCartney performed a whopping 35 (!) songs when he took the stage in Las Vegas last October.
Highlights included Beatles favorites “Help!,” “Blackbird,” “Hey Jude,” the “Golden Slumbers” medley and, of course, “Let It Be” along with Wings classics and solo cuts as well.
And, if you’re worried about his voice, you needn’t fret too much.
“…the years have started to affect in his vocals,” Kuvo Jazz admitted in a thorough review of a Denver show of his on Oct. 11, 2025.”
“He’s retained most of his falsetto and the ability to hit many of those high ‘oooos,’ but he couldn’t consistently nail every note. Some were a little scratchy and some seemed non-existent. Those were the exception, however, and most of the time, Paul sounded like Paul, even if there were a few wavers here and there.”
Not bad for an 83-year-old.

If you’d like to see him live, here’s where he’ll be later this year.

Paul McCartney new music
On May 16, 2025, McCartney and Barbra Streisand released their yearning duet “My Valentine.”
The romantic song is fairly straightforward for Macca who typically tends to embrace unique sounds even when he releases Christmas music; therefore, the heartfelt standard, which he originally released in 2012 with a bit more verve on the cover-heavy jazz record “Kisses on the Bottom,” is an oddity — a star-studded one but an oddity all the same — and must be heard to be believed.

More recently, McCartney released a deluxe Wings compilation and a soundtrack to his “Man On The Run” documentary. Click here to hear those albums and the rest of his storied discography.
