There were no losers during The Judgment Day’s implosion on Monday night, despite a brief moment where there could have been.

The whole segment was masterfully done as Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio’s months of simmering heat were finally brought to a boil after The Prince played a role in his younger stablemate losing the Intercontinental championship to Penta a week earlier, along with Danhausen’s curse.

There were three important moments in a segment that left everyone in a better and clearer place afterward. Balor called Judgment Day a “family” during his plea to a whining and ungrateful Mysterio to try to start winning championships without help so he could progress to being an all-time great. First, Balor verbally had enough of a frustrated Mysterio, saying his dad was right and he was a “little p–k.” Mysterio then pushed Balor first.

More From Joseph Staszewski

That left the Bullet Club founder with an important decision to make. After all his tries verbally to have Mysterio see the light, was it time to finally strike him and try to beat some sense into him? You could see the initial indecision and mental gymnastics going on in Balor’s head written all over his facial expressions before he finally decided to unleash his signature Pele Kick to begin the breakup of this version of Judgment Day.
