It was really not more complicated than this:
One member of the family picking up another.
It happens so often, in so many places, out of the spotlight, in small houses or apartments, little things that add up to much more than that. The best brothers do that for each other, lending a hand in time of need.
That is what Chris Mara did for John Mara, and the Giants are better off for it.
