Jason Garrett is back in the mix for a head coaching gig.

The former Cowboys head coach turned TV analyst will interview for the Titans’ head coach opening on Friday, according to a Tuesday report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Garrett, 59, was Dallas’ head coach for parts of 10 seasons from 2010-19, going 85-67.

The Cowboys made the playoffs three times during Garrett’s tenure but fell short in the divisional round during each postseason run.

In 2016, Garrett won the NFL Coach of the Year award after the Cowboys went 13-3 en route to an NFC East title.

After leaving Dallas following the 2019, Garrett was hired to be the offensive coordinator for the Giants under head coach Joe Judge.

Garrett would last just a season-and-a-half in New York after the Giants fired him midway through the 2021 campaign.

Since 2022, Garrett has called NFL and Notre Dame football games for NBC.

Garrett had previously been linked to coaching jobs at the college level, including Duke and Stanford.

Tennessee also has requested or scheduled interviews with various other candidates, including Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, recently fired Browns coach Kevin Stefanski, and Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy, among others.

The Titans have been without a permanent head coach since they fired Brian Callahan in mid-October after the team fell to 1-5.

Callahan, who was the first coach fired of the 2025 season, was in just his second season with Tennessee and finished his disappointing tenure with a 4-19 record.

Senior offensive assistant Mike McCoy served as the interim head coach for the Titans through the end of the season.

Tennessee finished 3-14 for the second consecutive season, and they have lost double-digit games in four straight seasons.
