Bengals reporter Elise Jesse announced on Thursday that she competed on Season 5 of Gordon Ramsay’s “Next Level Chef” on Fox.

“LIFE UPDATE: I am humbled to finally share this next chapter with you,” Jesse posted on X. “I had the honor & opportunity of a lifetime to compete on Season 5 of Gordon Ramsay’s Next Level Chef. I am endlessly grateful for every person who has supported me along this wild path.”

Jesse is a reporter for BengalsTalk and host of “The Sick Podcast,” and has covered Cincinnati’s football team for several years on local stations before joining Sports Illustrated’s team coverage.

She also runs a cooking account on social media where she has amassed nearly 100,000 followers across TikTok and Instagram under the handle @ejscookin.

Additionally, Jesse is a regular contributor at Taste of Home.

Season 5 of “Next Level Chef” is set to premiere on Jan. 29, 2026, with the show featuring cooks of varying levels of expertise and prestige. Chefs Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais are serving as the mentors.

Jesse’s performance on the show and details of the competition are still unknown as the season has yet to air. The winner of the upcoming season will take home a $250,000 prize.

Despite the excitement for Jesse, the Bengals are in the midst of a disappointing season, with their 4-10 record cementing them out of playoff contention.

Elise Jesse also does cooking content online outside of reporting on the Bengals.

On top of that, Joe Burrow made some concerning comments on the lack of fun he’s having playing the game.

“If I want to keep doing this, I have to have fun doing it,” Burrow said earlier this month. “I’ve been through a lot, and if it’s not fun, then what am I doing it for? So that’s the mindset I’m trying to bring to the table.”

Burrow, however, has since denied that those comments were directed toward the Bengals.

“My comments had nothing to do with Cincinnati,” Burrow said after the Bengals’ 24-0 loss to the Ravens on Sunday. “My comments had everything to do with me and my mindset and football.”
