It’s been a busy few days in Zach Wilson’s household.

On Sunday, the backup Dolphins quarterback commemorated wife Nicolette’s 24th birthday with a heartfelt tribute — one day before Miami fell to Pittsburgh on the road in primetime, 28-15.

“Happy birthday to my best friend, the most beautiful girl in the world. There’s nobody I’d rather do life with than you. Thank you for always being there for me, loving me the way you do, and making every day better. I can’t wait to grow old together and build the family we’ve always dreamed about. I love you,” the 26-year-old Wilson gushed on Instagram.

Nicolette, who married the former first-round pick over the summer in a glitzy New York ceremony, replied, “I love you with all my heart.”

Wilson is in his first season with the Dolphins after signing a one-year, $6 million deal in free agency back in March.

He spent the 2024 season in Denver, where he was traded by the Jets last April to end a disastrous three-year run.

Gang Green selected Wilson with the No. 2 overall pick out of BYU in 2021.

Wilson has only appeared in three games for the Dolphins this season with Tua Tagovailoa at the helm.

Monday’s loss to the Steelers dropped the 6-8 club out of playoff contention, sparking conversation as to whether Miami should take an expanded look at Wilson and seventh-round rookie Quinn Ewers in the season’s final three games.

“It’s not unreasonable to suggest Miami should get a look at veteran Zach Wilson and/or rookie Quinn Ewers before the season is over,” The Palm Beach Post’s Joe Schad wrote after the game.

“But if [coach Mike] McDaniel is given no assurances of a return, he may feel he needs to run Tua out there down the stretch. It’s possible Miami uses the last game of this season to give Ewers a start. But if Miami is 8-8 and has a shot at a winning record … maybe not?”

Tagovailoa, in the second year of a four-year, $212.4 million extension, has thrown 20 touchdowns against 15 interceptions across 14 games.

It remains to be seen if the Dolphins will shake up their organization further this offseason following the October dismissal of general manager Chris Grier.

McDaniel has coached the team since 2022.
