With both their starting quarterback and backup QB sidelined with injuries, the New York Jets will start an undrafted rookie quarterback for the first time since 1975.
Brady Cook, who saw his first NFL action last week when Tyrod Taylor exited the game with an injury, will become the 55th starting quarterback in Jets history against the Jacksonville Jaguars this afternoon.
Cook, who started three seasons at Missouri, signed with the Jets after the 2025 NFL Draft. In his pro debut last week, he went 14-for-30 for 163 yards, with zero touchdowns and two picks.
