Commanders (+1.5) over VIKINGS

Regardless of whether it’s J.J. McCarthy, Max Brosmer or a 48-year-old Daunte Culpepper under center for the Vikings this weekend, Minnesota is in a world of trouble and seemingly has already moved onto 2026.

The Vikings have not played competitive ball over the past two weeks, losing by a combined score of 49-6 to the Packers and Seahawks, respectively, to essentially eliminate themselves from playoff contention.

The Commanders aren’t on the level of those teams, but they showed last week they can be pesky in their home overtime loss to the Broncos.

Even if Marcus Mariota remains as the starter for another game, the Commanders have a little bit more firepower right now and can win this game on the road against a scuffling Minnesota team.

CHARGERS (+3) over Eagles

The Chargers can outright win this game against an Eagles team heading in the wrong direction, and we can feel comfortable getting a field goal.

The Eagles got bullied last week by a Bears team that ran at will against them, and now they face a Chargers squad led by a coach in Jim Harbaugh who likes to run and often does so quite well.

Betting on the NFL?

Los Angeles could be welcoming back star rookie Omarion Hampton to its backfield this weekend, which should provide a boost to a rushing attack that ranked 12th in yards per game entering Week 14.

We expect Chargers QB Justin Hebert to play even after undergoing surgery on his non-throwing hand, although that is reason for concern.

In what should be a tight game, getting a field goal for an 8-4 home team seems like great value.

2025 record: 7-17-2
Last week: 1-1; Chargers (W); Giants (L)
