BALTIMORE — Here are my takeaways from the Jets’ 23-10 loss to the Ravens on Sunday.

1. The Jets did not put up prolific numbers on offense but the quarterback switch worked. The offense looked functional with Tyrod Taylor. The Jets moved the ball well and put together a few good drives. They only scored one touchdown but were on their way to another when Breece Hall fumbled.

Taylor is a professional and he allows Tanner Engstrand to call a better game. The Jets won’t face the Ravens every week and they should be able to win some games when they face teams in their own weight class like the Falcons, Dolphins and Saints. The defense showed major improvements Sunday and has become very tough to run on.

I know there is a segment of the fan base hoping the Jets lose out to improve their draft position, but I think the Jets still have a few more wins in them. They played hard against the Ravens and Patriots but made enough mistakes to allow the better team to win. Aaron Glenn’s team has already shown it can win when it plays lesser teams like the Bengals and Browns. They need to show that down the stretch, draft position be damned.
