What might be the start of the Shedeur Sanders era officially begins today.
The rookie quarterback is scheduled to make his first start for the 2-8 Cleveland Browns against Geno Smith’s 2-8 Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium at 4:05 p.m. ET.
Last Sunday, Sanders, 23, took the field and completed four of 16 passes for 47 yards in a 23-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens after starter Dillon Gabriel went down with a concussion in the second quarter.
And, even though Sanders had a rough week — robbers stole approximately $200,000 worth of his property during the Browns-Ravens game — he’s still excited for his Sin City showdown.
“I know this is a trending topic, that my house got broken into, but…I’m in a mental space now to where…it’s not too much that could phase me,” Sanders said in a press conference. “…and none of my jewelry got took anyway.”
