CeeDee Lamb is clearing the air.
The Cowboys star admitted he missed curfew in an incident that saw him and fellow wideout George Pickens get benched for the opening drive of Monday’s win over the Raiders in Las Vegas.
“I was out a little late, after curfew, but we came back,” Lamb told reporters Thursday, saying he and Pickens had dinner and a few drinks at the Red Rock Casino — but vehemently denied a rumor that had him throwing up outside of a casino at 7:30 a.m. on game day.
“That’s a disrespect to even suggest that,” he said. “I know how to hold my liquor.”
Whatever he had, there’s little to suggest it slowed either pass-catcher down even a little.
Lamb, 26, notched 66 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Pickens racked up 144 yards on nine catches and a TD of his own in the 33-16 victory.
After Monday’s game, Pickens said his benching was due to the Raiders’ defensive lineup, but he hasn’t commented since.
The Cowboys sit at 4-5-1 entering a Week 12 rematch with the NFC East-leading Eagles, a team Dallas lost to in Week 1.
At 8-2, Philadelphia is all but certain to make the playoffs, while Dallas has a 13 percent chance at the postseason.
There is little room for error left in their season, so any missteps or missed curfews need to be in the past — something Lamb is acutely aware of.
“Technically, we could treat this as if we’re in the playoffs, if you want to think of it that way,” he said. “Win or go home. I feel like that’s the situation that we’re in. And I feel like that’s the right mindset that we gotta have going into every game. So as far as this [schedule] gauntlet, I’m excited for it.
“It should be fun, and I feel like we’re gonna do just fine.”
