William Shatner has revealed he crapped his pants on stage on the opening night of his Broadway show.

The Star Trek actor spoke of the mishap to an audience during a special screening of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan at the Golden State Theatre in Monterey, California, last week.

He said he was battling stomach issues when he took to the stage for his one-man show titled Shatner’s World: We Just Live in It — an autobiographical two-hour performance in 2012.

The actor had called in help from Dr. Oz, but it wasn’t enough, and he had an accident, telling the audience there had been a “technical difficulty.”

What started as a typical Q&A session quickly saw Shatner get refreshingly candid about the realities of live theater.

“All of a sudden, I have to go,” Shatner said. “In fact, I’m going to use the past tense. I had gone.

“Opening night on Broadway I had crapped my pants. So I said, ‘All right, there’s been a technical difficulty and I’ll be right back.’

“Things were coming out of me I didn’t know existed.”

Shatner left and cleaned up before returning to steal the show, which he said “was very successful.”

An onlooker filmed the storytelling session.

“I just started filming him when he started talking about that,” an audience member said.

“Everybody was laughing their butts off. It was really funny. Pretty hilarious

“I never heard that story before, so I thought it was a good one.”
