Edwin Diaz put his odds of a Mets return at “50-50.”

The free agent closer said Thursday night he’s had discussions with Mets brass, but the All-Star is expected to have a robust market this winter.

That would seemingly include the World Series runner-up Blue Jays, who are looking to bolster their bullpen following a Game 7 meltdown to the Dodgers, according to Ken Rosenthal.

Toronto is again expected to be active in the free agent market, possibly pursuing prized outfielder Kyle Tucker, according to noti.group’s Jon Heyman, and could be a threat to the Mets’ attempts to keep their fireballing closer.

“We want to make sure we don’t cut ourselves off,” general manager Ross Atkins said at the GM meetings. “We’ve had more subtractions in the pitching area. We have to make sure we understand that market, but we’re not going to take ourselves out of any other market, either.”

The Blue Jays were two outs from capturing the World Series in Game 7 with the Dodgers before closer Jeff Hoffman, who had an up-and-down season, gave up a game-tying home run to Miguel Rojas.

According to Rosenthal, the Yankees and Tigers are other teams with potential interest in Diaz, who is expected to cash in on the heels of a season in which he pitched to a 1.63 ERA in 62 appearances with 28 saves in 31 chances.

“Just get the best deal for me and my family,” the 31-year-old said of his goal Thursday. “I love New York, and I would love to stay in New York, but if I have to go to another place, I will be happy and want to win a ring. Wherever I go, I want to win a ring and enjoy the time.”

Diaz opted out of the final two years and $37 million of his Mets deal, though the team extended him the qualifying offer of $22 million — meaning they would received draft compensation if he signs elsewhere.

He is believed to be pursuing a four- or five-year deal, wherever it may come from.

“We would enjoy to stay [with the Mets], but at the end of the day, we don’t know what they are thinking,” Díaz said. “We have got our role. My agency wants to do the best job, and I just listen to my agent.”
