The Giants are on the road in Chicago this week to face the Bears and are seeking to end two dismal skids.

They enter Week 10 on a three-game losing streak that has featured some bad defense and bad breaks, but they’ve also failed to pick up a win away from home.

It almost feels like the Giants have had multiple seasons in one so far. They started the campaign with Russell Wilson at quarterback and rode that wave until it proved fruitless.

Then they switched to Jaxson Dart under center and saw real signs of success, which led to genuine optimism that the Giants could finally be turning a corner.

Big Blue’s past three games have proven that they are not on the same level of their rivals down I-95 in Philadelphia, but that optimism isn’t totally misplaced.

Dart, who is tied for the shortest odds to win Offensive Rookie of the Year (+110, FanDuel), keeps the Giants offense respectable, though. That might not come off as a ringing endorsement, but consider just how bad their offense is without him.

Since last season, the Giants have scored 20 or more points eight times across 21 games. They’ve done it four times with Dart as their signal caller and he’s only started five games in his career.

He’s not perfect, but he has done a good job of keeping this offense moving and capitalizing on opportunities with his arms and legs. That should serve him well against the Bears’ defense this week.

The Bears lead the NFL in interceptions on defense, but they’ve also allowed the third-most passing touchdowns and the second-most yards gained per pass attempt.

Betting on the NFL?

They can make big plays when they get their hands on the ball, but they still give up a ton of yards in the process.

That was clear in last week’s game against the Bengals, which could have easily been a loss for the Bears if they weren’t facing an even worse pass defense.

The Giants’ defense is also vulnerable, which is putting it mildly. They rank last in yards allowed per rush and second-to-last in rushing yards allowed per game. In the red zone, their defense has allowed teams to score at the second-highest rate.

I think we’ll see both offenses move the ball with ease, and I like the over in this game at 46.5.

The Pick: Over 46.5 (-110, FanDuel)
