Grading the Jets’ 39-38 win over the Bengals on Sunday:
1. The relief among the Jets after this one was palpable. They needed a win so badly. The tension has been building inside the Jets as the losses mounted. It has not been directed at any one person or area but you could just feel the weight of the 0-7 start.
Now, that’s over.
It’s only one win and will not change the trajectory of this season, but it gives everyone inside the Jets a chance to breathe during the bye week. All of the noise about Justin Fields, Aaron Glenn and everyone else will quiet down now … at least until they lose again.
