Darryl Strawberry is speaking out during what’s been a “challenging” time for him and wife Tracy.

In a candid post shared Wednesday on Instagram, the MLB legend expressed gratitude for medical personnel and to those who have offered support to Tracy in the wake of “major health challenges.”

“This really has been some very challenging times for us, but we wanted to thank God for his Grace and Mercy!” Strawberry wrote alongside photos that featured Tracy in a hospital bed.

“My Heart Has Been Heavy Lately 🥲 And Needing To Say Thanks For Being There For My Wife; Thank you to all the Doctors and Nurses for your incredible care and dedication in helping my wife through back-to-back surgeries and major health challenges. Your compassion has meant the world to our family during this difficult time, and you hold a special place in our hearts.

“… She’s Coming Home Tomorrow Morning!”

Strawberry, who celebrated his 19th anniversary with Tracy earlier this month, revealed in July that she was preparing “for major surgeries to battle Early Stage Cancer and face a Hip replacement at the end of this year.”

“Your unwavering spirit inspires us all. Despite your own struggles, you keep getting up for work and continue to put our family and other peoples needs first, embodying the selflessness that defines you,” he captioned an Instagram post at the time.

“I’m not surprised; You taught me how to be faithful with God in the most difficult times!”

Although Strawberry, 63, did not delve into further details about Tracy’s health, he has continued to share updates on her progress.

Earlier this month, the former Met spoke about how he supported Tracy post-op amid a setback.

“This afternoon brought a setback for my wife after so many wonderful good moments following her surgery on Monday. But I sat by her bedside, laid my hands on her, and prayed in the Spirit, trusting God to bring peace and healing. She fell asleep peacefully and woke up feeling much better. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has prayed for her and me during this challenging time. Your support means the world to us!” he exclaimed on Oct. 8.

Married since 2006, Strawberry and Tracy turned to faith after both had combatted substance abuse struggles.

“I knew she was a wonderful person the minute I met her,” he said of Tracy, whom he first met at a narcotics anonymous convention. “We started having conversations about life. We talked about the struggles we both had. We started dating, and from there, we moved into our own destiny. It was a process that we had to walk through together.”

A four-time World Series champion, Strawberry began his MLB career with the Mets in 1983 and won his first title in 1986.

The famed outfielder went on to play for the Dodgers, Giants and Yankees, winning three more World Championships in The Bronx in 1996, 1998 (he did not play in the postseason) and 1999.
