Oziyah Sellers arrived at St. John’s with a reputation as a big-time shotmaker.
Rick Pitino is looking for the senior guard to expand his repertoire this season.
Pitino listed the Stanford transfer as his starting point guard, and Idaho State’s Dylan Darling as the backup.
On Wednesday, in an open scrimmage at the Garden, Sellers looked to be adjusting to the new role well. He scored 30 points, was 6-for-8 on 3-point attempts and dished out seven assists with one turnover.
