After a lopsided affair in Game 1, the Yankees are looking to even up the series in Game 2 of the American League Divisional Series this afternoon.
Yesterday, the Toronto Blue Jays got their first postseason win since 2016 in a 10-1 rout of the Yankees.
The Blue Jays were up 2-1 going into the seventh inning, when the Yankees’ bullpen allowed eight runs over the next two innings. A Cody Bellinger walk in the sixth inning with bases loaded led to the Yankees’ one and only run in the loss.
The ALDS is a best-of-five series, so today’s result will either put the Blue Jays one win away from an ALCS appearance or guarantee at least a Game 4 with a Yankees win.
