If there are people who believe that the Earth is flat and people who believe in flying reindeer carrying a sled, then certainly there are people who believe the Giants offense just turned a corner.

The Giants gained 506 offensive yards — the most in the Brian Daboll and Mike Kafka play-calling era — on the strength of eight 20-plus yard plays during Sunday’s 40-37 loss to the Cowboys.

Russell Wilson nearly had more passing yards in the first quarter alone — 153, the most by a Giants quarterback since 1978 — than he did in the entirety of the touchdown-less Week 1 loss (164) to the Commanders.

So, will the real offense please stand up? Is it really the exciting, Moon Ball-heaving, catch-and-run cast that couldn’t be stopped in Week 2 on three consecutive fourth-quarter touchdown drives?
