Taylor Fritz will look to do something he’s never done before on Tuesday night: beat Novak Djokovic.

Fritz is 0-10 against Djokovic in his career, and he’s only won three of 26 sets in those matches.

While the majority of these encounters came when Djokovic was at the height of his powers and Fritz was just starting his rise, it’s still a massive hurdle for the 27-year-old to overcome.

Tennis is a mental sport, and the American will have a lot of baggage with him at the Billie Jean King Center on Tuesday.

On form alone, you could make a strong argument that Fritz should be the favorite in this match.

The world No. 4 is playing the best tennis of his career in the latter half of 2025, winning two titles and posting a 25-5 record since losing in Round 1 at Roland Garros.

Djokovic, meanwhile, has played a light schedule in 2025, conceding some ground in his ongoing battle against Father Time.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion is still one of the best players in the world, and he’s won 14 of his past 16 matches (all of which came at Grand Slams), but he is not the same juggernaut that he was when these two met at this same juncture back in 2023.

Back then, Fritz was more of a one-note player who was too reliant on his elite serve to be his meal ticket.

That isn’t the case anymore.

The head-to-head record is daunting, but it’s also providing bettors with a discount on Fritz on Tuesday.

The Play: Fritz +162 (bet365)
