The Nets waived Tosan Evbuomwan on Friday, a move that could well be a precursor to another move.

The British forward and Princeton product played 28 games for the Nets last season, averaging 9.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and two assists in 23.8 minutes. The move, first reported by Hoopshype, was confirmed by The Post.

With Evbuomwan on a two-way contract, waiving him may not directly signal another deal. But Friday at 5 p.m. was the deadline for an NBA team to waive and stretch a player with a fully or partially guaranteed salary for this upcoming season. (According to new language in the CBA, the player would have to clear waivers by Sunday).

That means with Nets GM Sean Marks still enjoying the most salary cap space in the league — and actively looking to take advantage of salary dumps in return for incoming draft capital — there should be more clarity by this weekend on possible Brooklyn targets.
