It’s anybody’s guess how Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes perform in 2025.

That’s been true in the first two years of Coach Prime’s tenure, but there’s even more volatility baked into the upcoming season with Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter now playing on Sundays.

Kaidon Salter comes in at quarterback after two strong seasons at Liberty, but he’s stepping up from the Group of 5 ranks into a unique spotlight.

Salter will have talented players all around him – a lot of skilled players want to play for the Buffaloes as long as Coach Prime is in Boulder – but he’ll need to develop chemistry with his new mates quickly, because he’ll be opposite an offense that can light it up.

Georgia Tech is on the path back to respectability under Brent Key, and it’s the offense that could be what takes the Yellow Jackets forward in 2025.

Quarterback Haynes King is back, as is dynamic running back Jamal Haynes, and the offense added plenty of playmakers in the portal.

Add in a top-20 recruiting class, and you can see why there is some sleeper hype around the Ramblin’ Wreck in the ACC this season.

Offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner has been a revelation at Georgia Tech, and he should have this unit humming against a Colorado defense that improved last year, but now has to reload after taking a hit in the offseason.

Georgia Tech should be able to run rampant on offense, and it’ll be tough sledding for Salter to keep pace in his first outing under the bright lights.

Betting on College Football?

Speaking of bright lights, few teams punched up better than the Yellow Jackets last year.

Money has pushed Georgia Tech to -4.5, but there’s a chance that the public comes in on the Buffaloes on Friday night, so keep an eye on this price.

The Play: Georgia Tech -4.5 (-105, BetMGM)
