Prepare to cross an item off your bucket list, metalheads.

Starting Aug. 27, System of a Down will embark on a brief six-concert tour at three stadiums all over North America.

To kick off the short run, the “Toxicity” shredders are scheduled to play a pair of back-to-back concerts in the Garden State.

Those shows are scheduled to go down at East Rutherford, NJ’s MetLife Stadium on Wednesday, Aug. 27 and Thursday, Aug. 28.

They’ll be joined by special guests Korn, Polyphia and Wisp at both gigs.

After that short stint in the Meadowlands, the legendary rockers swing into Chicago’s Soldier Field (Aug. 31 and Sept. 1) with Avenged Sevenfold and Toronto’s Rogers Stadium (Sept. 3 and 5) with Deftones.

If you’d like to be at one of these rare SoaD performances, last-minute tickets are available for all six shows.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find for any one concert was $79 including fees on Vivid Seats.

Other shows start anywhere from $84 to $177 including fees.

And, in the event you’re on the fence about seeing the anti-authority act live, critics were quick to point out the group still had the goods when they performed in San Francisco last summer.

“Despite playing infrequent live shows, System of a Down proved that they’re as in sync as ever. Frontman Serj Tankian’s vocal range is arguably one of the best of any metal frontman, shifting between operatic runs and guttural screams with ease,” New Noise Magazine wrote. “Guitarist and second vocalist Daron Malakian’s crowd work was impeccable, encouraging attendees to spin, pogo, and reminding the crowd of 50,000, ‘Stop letting them divide you! Your neighbor is not your enemy; the government is,’ to a roar of agreement.”

Still need a few more details before smashing that buy button?

We’re here for you.

Our team has everything you need to know and more about seeing System of a Down live in August and September 2025 below.
