Seattle Mariners right fielder Victor Robles was ejected from Sunday’s Triple-A Tacoma rehab game after he threw his bat at the pitcher, who ran a fastball up and inside, nearly hitting him.

Robles, 28, whose recovering from a shoulder injury, was at the plate for his second at-bat in the third inning against Las Vegas Aviators pitcher Joey Estes when he lost his cool, as shown in a clip posted on X by Jomboy Media. Robles is playing with the Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers as part of his rehab assignment.

Estes threw a fast ball up-and-inside at Robles, nearly clipping him on his right shoulder.

Robles swung at the pitch in apparent self-defense, fouling it off. He then ran behind umpire Joe McCarthy and dropped his bat.

Robles immediately picked up the bat and hurled it at Estes, knocking off his own helmet.

The fuming outfielder then started shouting at Estes as McCarthy signals he’s been ejected from the game.

Completely ignoring the umpire, the 2019 World Series champion charges at the mound, pushing past McCarthy.

Tacoma’s bench cleared and his teammates restrained him from going at Estes.

Even after getting him off the field, the hot-tempered ballplayer wasn’t finished yet.

Now inside the dugout, Robles hurls a cooler onto the field, sending the contents inside it flying out. He then headed into the clubhouse.

Robles has been rehabbing a dislocated left shoulder since April 6, when he was injured making a leaping catch and colliding with the netting at Oracle Park during Seattle’s game against the San Francisco Giants.

He was then placed on a cart and taken off the field.

The outfielder had already been hit by a pitch three times in five rehab games for Tacoma, according to MLB Network.

He was hit twice during Tuesday’s game, including once by Estes.

It’s unclear what kind of punishment Major League Baseball will hand down for the bat-throwing incident.

Robles is in his second season with the Mariners after playing his first eight seasons with the Nationals.
