The network is throwing the book at “Suits LA.”

The “Suits” spinoff has been canceled after one season on NBC. The 13-episode legal drama first aired in February, starring Stephen Amell, Lex Scott Davis, Josh McDermitt and Bryan Greenberg.

So far, the show has aired 11 episodes with the season finale landing on May 18.

Many original cast members from “Suits” — which aired on the USA Network for nine seasons from 2011 to 2019 — returned to the show for small cameos, including Rick Hoffman, Gabriel Macht and David Costabile.

The spinoff followed a law firm in Los Angeles, unlike the first series, which saw the employees work for Harvey Specter, one of New York City’s best lawyers.

“Ted Black (Amell), a former federal prosecutor from New York, has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles,” the show’s official synopsis read. “His firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive, he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career.

“Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is going on while we slowly unravel the events that years ago led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved.”

In January, “Suits” creator Aaron Korsh addressed fan concerns that a spinoff would ruin the original show.

“Not trying to replace our beloved originals,” he wrote on X at the time. “Just a new crew working in a different city handling different kinds of cases.”

“It seems like people are all wishing it was the originals back,” Krosh, 58, said in a follow-up post. “I expected this and can’t blame them. I can only hope they give #SuitsLA an open-minded try. If they do, I really believe they will grow to love it.”

Along with Macht, 53, and Hoffman, 54, the OG project starred Patrick J. Adams, Sarah Rafferty, Gina Torres, and Meghan Markle.

The Duchess of Sussex quit the show in 2018 after she got engaged to Prince Harry.

The original series gained a new life after being put on Netflix in 2023, and a spinoff was announced shortly after.

After the trailer dropped in late January, Korsh once again assured fans that the cast of the spinoff “is great.”

“I think if people watch it and give it a chance they will love it,” the creator wrote on X.

“All I can say is that if people watch, they will quickly see it does have overlap but it is 100% its own thing. If you liked the original and give this a fair shot, I find it hard to believe you won’t come to love it.”

Once the show dropped, however, the audience had mixed reviews.

One person wrote on X, “Is this the pilot episode or episode 3? It feels like they threw all these characters at us without any introduction and expect us to understand their current storylines they’re involved it. I’m trying soo hard to like this but it’s giving rushed production.”

Another user shared, “Coming from the #1 suits fan on the planet- Suits LA is disgustingly bad. May be the worst acting and script on TV. A third observed that “suits LA getting dragged to hell” while adding a GIF from “RHONY,” while someone else wrote, “#SuitsLA is a flop. Poor writing. Disingenuous characters and a plot that doesn’t hold the original #Suits jockstrap. #TryAgain.”

But not everyone wanted to hold the new show in contempt.

“I’m going to be reasonable about Suits: LA. I’m not going to whine and complain like everybody else is about the lack of the original characters. When the original show started, I would bet that people definitely didn’t know or care at first about the characters,” one fan expressed on the social media platform.

“Probably the only one on twitter actually enjoying Suits LA lol #SuitsLA,” a second pleased viewer wrote, while another added: “Suits LA is BOMB. Same high stakes feeling from the original but a whole new arena and areas of expertise but still very intense.”

The cast and creator have yet to address the cancellation.

In January, Macht spoke out about why he chose to reprise his role in three episodes of “Suits LA.”

“I’m just doing it for the fans. I’m not doing it for me. I’ve done it 134 times,” the actor told People.

In fact, Korsh called Macht to offer him the chance to come back to the “Suits” universe.

“Aaron called me and he just said, ‘Look, this is a different world. This is in LA. It’s not New York, but the character of Ted, who Stephen Amell is playing, he came out of New York,” Macht explained. “And (Harvey) would’ve known him when you were in New York. And if there’s any world where you might be interested in coming back, let me know. Because I have this idea that could be really great.’”
