A girl who was hit and run over by a train while crossing the tracks miraculously survived with only minor injuries.

The shocking incident took place in Sergiyev Posad, north east of Moscow, on Wednesday November 6.

In the harrowing footage a woman, wearing headphones, can be seen walking across train tracks seemingly oblivious to the train rapidly approaching her.

She is then hit and run over by the locative as she dragged underneath the train before the video abruptly ends.

However, she somehow survived with virtually no injuries.

Her unnamed mother told local media that her daughter survived ‘by miracle’.

She said that the locomotive crew was not at fault in the incident. The rescue was also facilitated by the fact that the electric train was slowing down before the station, so the speed of the collision was low.

The mum added: ‘I also told her: ‘If the express train was speeding, you would have been smashed to bits like meat.’

‘She will learn a lesson for life, 100 per cent. The headphones were left there, on the tracks. I said: no more headphones. I have big headphones at home. Sit and listen to music.’

The Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor’s Office is conducting an investigation into the incident.

The very next day, on the other side of the Moscow Oblast, a different woman was hit by a train at Shcherbinka railway station.

Komsomolskaya Pravda, a Russian tabloid newspaper, reported that  emergency services rushed the woman to hospital but information about her condition was not specified.
