Adventurous campers have been caught red-handed in a moment of lust on an iconic Aussie beach.

The pair could be seen getting physical inside an unassuming tent by other beachgoers on an unidentified beach in Byron Bay.

Suspicious silhouette inside the tent appear to show the outline of two people embracing each other as the bystanders watch on in disbelief.

A local community page published the video to social media making light of the couple on Sunday.

Barry White’s ‘I’m Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby’, a song synonymous with sexual scenes in shows and movies, provided a soundtrack to the video.

‘Tents on a beach,’ the caption read.

Public sex is not permitted in Byron Shire Council and the area does not have a nude beach anymore after Tyagarah Beach lost its clothes optional status in August.

Anyone caught getting intimate with another person in public can receive a maximum fine of $1,100 and six months in jail for public indecency in NSW.

Social media users were reluctantly impressed with the couple’s courage to carry out their act of passion in broad daylight on a public beach.

‘If the tent’s a rockin, don’t come a knockin,’ one person wrote.

‘Looks pretty ‘tents’ in there,’ a second said.

‘You know what they say about camping… ‘It’s f***ing in-tents’,’ another joked.

‘I bet it’s a million degrees in there,’ a fourth added.

It is unclear if the amorous couple were reported to authorties.
