A female driver lost control of a Bentley convertible and smashed it into other luxury vehicles in a £1million car pile up.

The expensive car crash occurred in Monaco near the Hotel De Paris.

The outside of the hotel – which also houses Monte Carlo casino – is famously populated by numerous luxury cars throughout the day as the super rich flock to the area to flaunt their wealth.

However one driver appeared to have got a little too excited behind the wheel of a Bentley Azure convertible.

In the footage, shared widely on social media – a loud smash can be heard as tourists and locals alike flinch. The camera then pans to a multi-car pile up with bright blue Bentley Azure, which are worth as much as £150,000, at the centre.

The cars involved in the £1million car crash

Bentley Azure convertible – £150,000

Ferrari 599 – between £80,000 and £785,000

Aston Martin Rapide – £194,000

Rolls Royce Ghost – from £270,600

Porsche 911 – from £99,800

Total cost – between £794,400 and £1.4million

The car has a huge scrape along the driver’s side where the car appears to have crashed into the boot of a white saloon as passengers inside that vehicle scramble to get out.

Meanwhile, the front bumper of the Azure is also damaged and it has bumped into what appears to be a stationary Ferrari 599, which can cost over £700,000, damaging the front bumper.

A Monaco traffic officer can be heard blowing his whistle to try and disperse the rapidly growing crowd who have gathered to gawk at the incident.

The other side of the car reveals that a £194,000 Aston Martin Rapide has hit the Bentley on the passenger side.

Other cars nearby include a Rolls Royce Ghost and a Porsche 911 – both appear to have escaped largely unscathed.

Reacting on social media,  Daniel Alfie said: ‘How embarrassing. It was bound to happen.’

Mike Roberts quipped: ‘You can’t park there.’

Another used asked why so many people were driving in such a crowded area.

Monaco has long been a playground for the super rich who visit and live in the microstate to take advantage of the low taxes.

Famous residents include Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton and singer Bono.

The area is also a popular tourist destination with 323,000 people making the trip to Monaco in 2023.
