# Meta Expands Muse AI-Powered Assistant to iPad

Meta has expanded its AI-powered assistant, Muse, to iPad just a month after its mobile debut on iPhone and Android devices.

The dedicated iPad app marks a significant milestone for Meta's AI ambitions, one that some might argue is long overdue given the popularity of Instagram, another Meta-owned platform, which took 15 years to reach this point despite widespread user demand for an iPad version.

Since launching on iOS and Android on September 8, Muse has gained traction with over 6.6 million estimated installs, according to market intelligence firm Sensor Tower.

The app's text-heavy interface may have contributed to its relatively smooth transition to the iPad, where image and video resolution requirements are less stringent.

Meta's Muse platform has expanded its capabilities on the iPad, just a month after its initial mobile release. The updated list of available connectors now includes newer additions such as Asana and Figma, which cater to small businesses.

In addition to these new connectors, Meta has also added integrations with popular services like Notion and Granola. This allows users to link their accounts and access a wider range of features within the Muse platform. These updates aim to enhance user experience and productivity.

Meta has recently announced partnerships with several major retailers, including Best Buy, Gap, Sephora, Walmart, and Wayfair. These collaborations enable users to shop on these retailers' websites through the Muse platform, allowing for seamless transactions.

However, some issues have arisen as websites may mistakenly block the agent due to its perceived bot-like behavior. This problem has led Meta to explore solutions with industry partners, including an open standard that would allow personal AI agents to identify themselves to businesses.

This technological solution aims to help businesses distinguish between legitimate and malicious bots, ultimately improving user experience and preventing potential issues.

Meta's Muse AI technology has now been launched on iPad, a month after its mobile debut, aiming to revolutionize personal computing by infusing devices with artificial intelligence capabilities.

The launch comes as Meta continues to push the boundaries of AI innovation in consumer electronics. Meanwhile, Meta is also working on a new project that uses AI to detect and distinguish between legitimate and malicious bots, helping businesses improve user experience and prevent potential issues.
